Tree Plantation

On the auspicious occasion of Harela, a traditional festival dedicated to nature and environmental conservation, a tree plantation drive was organized in Harari village on July 11, 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local villagers, volunteers, and community leaders, all united by a shared vision of restoring the region’s green cover and protecting the environment. A total of 200 saplings, including Reetha, Dalchini, Aamla, and other beneficial species, were planted. These trees were carefully chosen for their ecological and economic value, as they not only support biodiversity but also provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for local families.

The plantation drive marked a significant step towards combating deforestation and promoting sustainable agroforestry practices in the area. By introducing tree species that are resistant to destruction by wild animals such as monkeys and wild boars, the initiative aims to ensure a steady source of income for farmers while safeguarding crops and the environment. This effort reflects the community’s growing commitment to environmental preservation and climate resilience, fostering a greener and more prosperous future for the people of Harari village and the surrounding region.
